The Laser Sensor is a weld joint detection system, with a measuring laser coupled to the robot torch and a PLC responsible for processing laser readings, generating the exchange of information with the robot.
• The system has three types of search, which are: LS Start UP, LS Start DOWN and LS Start Switch.
• As for the types of joints, for rising or falling edge detections, it is necessary to configure which variation will trigger the detection signal.
• In perfectly parallel motions, the detection range will be the sheet thickness. The smaller the sheet thickness, the more sensitive the system will be, being susceptible to detecting unwanted imperfections.
